Ads and marketing will be your biggest investment into your small business. Now that your website is complete & your online store is live, you need to push traffic to your website to grow sales.
You can't solely rely on social media posts alone to bring the sales that will grow your business. Learning how to run your own ads and do your own email marketing is an essential skill needed to grow in business. Most 'lifestyle gurus' tell you that they can do it for you for an excessive amount of money. That is the main reason why I like to share as much free information as possible for fellow entrepreneurs to learn these things on their own.
There will be a lot of trial and error when you first begin to run your ads. Algorithms often restrict you advertising access and you may even have to create a new ad account if that happens. However, once you find the advertising platform that works best for you, you can learn to simplify your ads, so the algorithm will not block your potential customers from seeing it.
Tik Tok has become a popular advertising platform. Instagram and Facebook advertising can be merged. So, your ads will appear on both platforms. Pinterest, and Snapchat are just a couple more options for advertising.
The good thing about running ads is you never have to spend more than you want to spend. You control your budget. You can get started advertising your business for just $1 per day. You can pause your ads whenever it doesn’t meet your budget for the day. I paid about $18 before I got my first sale from an ad. The sale was for $79.99 so I got my return on my ad investment immediately.
Investing in your small business is so important. You can’t expect others to spend more with your business than what you have invested into the business yourself.
