11. MARKETPLACES FOR SELLING
Marketplaces for Selling
There are several marketplaces that you can sell your products online. You may sell services as well. There are three major marketplaces that I will discuss. Etsy, eBay, and Facebook Marketplace. Marketplaces allow you to sell items that you may have for extra money. You can also utilize these marketplaces for products or services from your website, or small business. eBay has you set up your seller account similar to how you would set up payments for your website. You will input your bank account information for your payouts. After that you can start posting any items you want to sell. You can even set up bids on your products if you are willing to haggle the price.
On eBay, once you make the sell you must ship the order first and input tracking info. You will not be paid out for the sell until you enter the tracking information. eBay also provides shipping labels that you can choose to have deducted from your payout if you don’t have the money for the initial sale label.
Facebook Marketplace and Etsy is set up the same way. These marketplaces allow people to make extra money, and they also help small businesses make extra sales outside of their websites or storefronts. It is important to have your business visible on all platforms possible to grow you reach organically.
Once you become a frequent seller on these marketplaces your rating goes up as a seller, and trust is built. Many people who shop on these marketplaces seek out sellers with high ratings and good reviews. Always stay on top of your customer service when using marketplaces to sell online. This rating is just as important as product or service reviews.
