10. TARGET AUDIENCE
TARGET AUDIENCE
It's important to find out who your target audience is so you won't become discouraged when trying to sell your services or products to people with no use for what you have.
When starting a new business, it is necessary to seek out people who are part of your target audience. One of the quickest ways to do this is using social media platforms. When I first started my Dropshipping hat business, I joined several hats lovers’ groups such as,
"People Who Love Hats," "Hat Lovers Group," and "Men and Women Who Wear Hats," ext. The people in this group were my target audience. I have gotten many sales using this method.
If you offer a service such as hair, make-up, or even web designing like myself, this also applies. You must seek out the people who want your specific services and need what you have to offer. If you feel like people are constantly turning down your product or service, they are simply not your target audience.
Another way to learn your target audience is using polls and surveys on your social media business pages. Ask questions relevant to you niche and keep record of the feedback. This is a sure way to find out what your customers need, or what they don’t need.
For example, if you sell clothing, you can do a this or that vote to see which styles people are more likely to purchase. You can also give fashion tips and different gems to gain the trust of your audience. If they feel like you know what you are talking about, they are more likely to shop from your business.
If you have a beauty or skin product that you make yourself, giving tips and conducting surveys are a great way to share knowledge about your product with your audience.
An example would be asking the question, what types of skin issues do you struggle with? Provide options that include common skin problems and watch your audience narrow down to your target customers. This strategy works in any niche.
