14. INVENTORY
Inventory
If you are starting with a ton of products on-hand, it is important to keep track of your inventory. You don’t want a customer to order a product from your website and then when you go to fulfill it you are sold out of the product. You must make sure styles, sizes, and colors are all correct and available.
Each time you make a sell you should be managing your inventory. It is very important when you are Dropshipping to pay close attention to the quantity available through your supplier. In the Oberlo application through Shopify, it displays the number of products available next to the product. If that number is below 100, you want to stay away from adding it to your website because by the time you get a sell for the product, it could be sold out.
If the number is higher than 100 then you should be fine to add it to available products on your website. This will help get good reviews as well. It is not fun to have to refund an order because you were sold out of the item. Small businesses thrive on reviews.
Reviews establish your credibility as a legitimate business. It also offers your customers or clients a visual to see what you have to offer. You don’t want a customer to leave a review saying that they couldn’t get their order after they paid for it because your business inventory is not up to date.
